Get To Know Me
You already know that I help people buy and sell real estate, but that's only a little part of my life. Let me take a little time to give you a more complete picture of who I really am.

If you know me personally, you know that my greatest passion in life is music; particularly sacred classical music. I am a classically trained musician with degrees from East Carolina University and Westminster Choir College (Princeton) Voice Performance and Pedagogy, Choral Conducting, and also studies in Organ Performance. Surprisingly, the world of Real Estate and Classical Music share a lot of similarities.
I'm a Carteret County boy through and through having grown up in the Down East communities of Atlantic and Sealevel. However, in my adult life, I've lived all over the world. When I was finished with high school, I left for college and went to Greenville, NC. After seven years there, in 2008 I left for a new adventure (graduate school) in Princeton, NJ. During that time I worked in New York City and eventually moved there in 2010. After a period in NYC, I moved to Connecticut to experience New England life and work at Yale University. This was a huge leap for a small-town guy like me.

In 2012, I was given the opportunity to work in Oregon and then, amazingly, I was offered a position in Kelowna, British Columbia in Canada where I lived until 2018. I was also very fortunate to have been able to spend quite a bit of time conducting and performing in the United Kingdom on numerous occasions. I have had a most adventurous career performing as both a conductor and a classical singer. I have sung with the New York Philharmonic on multiple occasions, gave the world premier performance of a brand new opera in New York City, conducted in many of the major English Cathedrals, and have performed at the Metropolitan Opera.

Until I moved back home in 2018, I worked full time as a classical musician since finishing school. Currently, in addition to working in real estate, I work half-time as the Organist and Director of Music at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Morehead City. There I oversee a volunteer adult choir, a rigorous youth music program called the St. Andrew's Choir School, and conduct a small ensemble of singers on more advanced music.

In addition to my career in real estate, in an effort to bring more music and arts to the Crystal Coast, I and several colleagues, have formed the nonprofit organization called The Crystal Coast Music Foundation whose mission is to promote music and music education of high integrity in our area. The foundation will be the overarching parent organization for several performance and education entities: a professional choir, a regional opera company, a regional orchestra, and a music education program.

I have lived a life of adventure and privilege. I view it as my duty to bring as many of those same opportunities that I've had back to the community that nurtured me. I love my home and hope that we can continue to make the Crystal Coast a special place.
